  1. Configuration Steps for the Approval for Jira Add-on


  • Navigate to Apps > Explore more apps.

  • Select the "Approval for Jira" add-on from the list.

  1. Use the Add-on to Configure a Sample Approval Workflow


  • Access your Mobile Program project.

  • Select Approval for Jira from the sidebar.

  • Click the Add Approval button.

  • Naming & Selecting The Approver(s)

  • Enter an Approval Name.

  • In the Property Name section, select the "Approvers" custom field, ensuring the Custom Field Type is "User Picker".

  • Select Issue Type

  • Choose "Task" as the Issue type.

  • In the Source Status section, select "Review".

  • Click Next.

  • Select Approval Transition (for successful approval)

  • Select the transition where the Source Status is "Review" and the Destination Status is "Done".

  • Click Next.

  • Select Decline Transition (for rejected approval)

    • Select the transition where the Source Status is "Review" and the Destination Status is "In Progress".

    • Click Next.

  • Set Conditions for Transition Execution: Define the number of required approvals to allow an automatic transition to another status.

  • Select the All Approved option (requires all selected users to approve before the transition can occur),

  • Or choose Minimum Approval if you want the transition to proceed once a certain number of users have approved (optional).

  • Click Next.
